DAMIEN HIRST: COMING SOON TO NOTTING DALE

The perfect spot for an iconic work of art

We are very excited to announce that the latest artwork to land at Notting Dale will be Damien Hirst’s seminal Aconiazide painting. Completed in 1992 while he was at Goldsmiths College, Hirst painted two series of coloured spots onto warehouse walls.

He described the spot paintings as a means of “pinning down the joy of colour”, and explained that they provided a solution to all problems he’d previously had with colour. It has become one of the artist’s most prolific and recognisable series, and it will be landing at The George Building very soon!

One of Hirst’s pieces from the Spot Collection at The Israel Museum.
